We are proud of our 3-Year Old Program here at Saint Elizabeth School. Guided by Ms. Amy Dunne and Ms. Daria Carrasco, children find a safe, loving, and nurturing environment that promotes their well being emotionally and academically. Yes, even at the age of three, it is important to provide children with basic educational building blocks that will help them to grow naturally toward the next year and Kindergarten beyond.
How is the PreK-3 Class structured?
Saint Elizabeth School encourages the social, emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual growth of each child. The PreK-3 program (children three to four years old) focuses on building competence and initiative through active involvement with the classroom learning environment. Activities promote cooperative behavior, problem solving skills, logical thinking skills, imaginative play, and language and emergent literacy skills. Interest areas include blocks, dramatic play, manipulatives, science, writing, discovery, book corner/library, music and art. Literacy is a strong component of the PreK-3 program and literacy-based activities are integrated throughout the curriculum.
